To get started just email us a few detailed photos of your collision and we'll follow up by either sending you an estimate or asking for more photos. Phone camera images work just fine. Later, when we're at your location we'd be happy to offer you estimates for any other needed repair work. Email us today at info@busbarnes.com
We can correspond with your insurance company on your behalf, or you can submit our estimate to them yourself. You may be able to claim previous accidents for up to two years from the date of the accident. If your insurance can't help you, we'll be happy to give your school district 30 days after completion to pay the invoice. Special terms are also available.
Once you approve the estimate, we'll schedule a convenient time to make the repairs right there in your own Bus Barn - or maybe outside in nice weather. We'll just need an air hose and an electrical outlet. Typically, repairs are completed in 3-5 days. We can also supply all the replacement parts.
Doug Barnes has a history in durable medical equipment but has been painting cars, trucks and motorcycles for decades. In his twenties he worked in his family-owned auto paint store and attended the factory sponsored paint school. He even had the honor of mixing the paint for President Clinton’s Air Force One. Later, he operated his own custom body shop, enjoyed a career in the medical field and now works his craft on school buses.
In spite of the training and experience bus drivers receive, buses still get bent up. There are many reasons to get the bus back in shape quickly. Here are a few:
- It may be a safety hazard.
- It gives the appearance of negligence.
- It may cause parents to worry.
- Your school board, or State Patrol may require a timely repair.
- It’s the right thing to do.
